Empowering Hypnobirthing Courses and Doula Support
Hello lovely!
I'm Charlotte, a Doula, Hypnobirthing Antenatal Teacher, mum of two and all-around birth-nerd based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. I live with my husband, children, a dog who resembles a teddy bear and a very grumpy cat (who we love dearly). I'm a big lover of drinking tea (obvs, I'm a Yorkshire Lass), I love a musical and enjoy spending time in nature, be that walking, dabbling in a bit of gardening or bobbing around on my paddle board, I also love a good dance around the kitchen.

I take great joy in providing nurturing doula support and hypnobirthing antenatal courses, helping pregnant women and expectant parents transform from "Clueless" to "Confident," and "Terrified" to "Empowered" (their words not mine) with evidence-based information, tangible skills and a compassion-first approach to the transformational life transition of pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period.

I’ve been supporting clients preparing for birth since I completed my KGHypnobirthing teacher training (which is accredited by the Royal College of Midwives) in 2021, with my online and in-person courses getting 5-star reviews on Google, and lovely feedback from parents and families. In 2024 I completed my Doula certification with Nurturing Birth and officially added Doula Support to my offering. This means pregnant women, birthing people and parents-to-be, like you, can receive full nurturing support and continuity of carer throughout your pregnancy, birth and early parenting journey from me. My priority is always to you, your wants, needs and wishes. I'm here to support you, without judgement, in the ways you need, during one of life's biggest transformations, whether this is your first baby or you've walked this path before.
I have a trauma informed approach to my teaching, and my support is a balance of evidence-based information and tangible tips to help you mentally and physically prepare for your baby's birth. I focus on centring you in your pregnancy and birth experience, helping you decide what feels right for your individual circumstances and thrive physically and mentally during the transformative and vulnerable birth and postnatal time. I engage birth partners (if you have one) in every antenatal session with my practical and down-to-earth approach. I've worked with families preparing for birth in all settings; including home birth, birth centre, hospital labour ward and caesarean birth.

I offer a range of Doula support and Hypnobirthing courses to suit your individual needs, both privately and in groups, including:

Every course I take helps me to tailor the Positive Birth Leeds Hypnobirthing Antenatal courses with practical, up-to-date and evidence-based information and to support parents preparing for all kinds of birth.
I've been invited to speak about how Hypnobirthing and Doula support can benefit parents' birth and postnatal experience by national retailers including John Lewis and Newbie and Me, as well partnering with Baby Week Leeds and Leeds Dads at their regular and annual events in Leeds.
What exactly is Hypnobirthing anyway?

The techniques I share, and you then practice, will teach your body how to develop automatic responses to instinctively trigger deep relaxation. And when you relax this helps your baby relax too.
As far as body conditioning training goes, this is as soothing and empowering as it gets!

Hypnobirthing skills can be used to achieve a positive birth experience in any setting, be it a Caesarean birth, in a hospital setting or at a homebirth. The courses are open to you and your partner, after all this is a family affair!

This is about empowering you to build trust and confidence in your body and your birth choices, deciding what is right for you and what your own personal route of least stress is.
