Postnatal Doula Support
Welcoming a new baby into your family is a life-changing experience. Whether you’re a first-time parent or growing your family, the early days and weeks with a newborn can feel both joyful and overwhelming.
As your Postnatal Doula, I provide compassionate, personalised support to help you navigate this precious time with confidence and ease.
My role is to “mother the mother”, offering nurturing emotional, practical and informational support. From providing reassurance to helping you feel physically and emotionally well, I’ll be by your side as you adjust to life with your baby. My goal is simple, to make your transition into parenthood smoother, leaving you feeling empowered, supported and cared for so you can thrive with your newborn.
Postnatal Doula Support that Fully Supports You
Imagine the early hours, days and weeks with your brand new baby. You’re leaking from most places and your body feels tender and bruised from birth.
Imagine having a rough night with baby, you’ve been up most of the night, you're trying to establish feeding, you’re knackered and all you want to do is sleep.
Then in walks me, your postnatal doula. I greet you with a warm smile and an understanding of “I’ve been there, I’ve got you”. I make you a brew and give you time and space to offload on recent events, worries, frustrations, and also reflect on the micro wins (they’re there, I promise!)
I ask you "what's going to make you feel good today?" and you tell me your priorities for the time we have together; cleaning (yourself, your house or the seemingly endless laundry), infant feeding support, sleeping, eating, spending 30 consecutive minutes without your baby surgically attached to you, or spending some quality time with any older children - helping lessen that feeling of guilt mum's often (unnecessarily) carry.
Then off you go to serve your needs, knowing your baby is looked after and safe. They might be sleeping in the sling, or in my arms, but what’s most important is you have time to rest and nourish your needs.
While you rest, and serve your needs, magic happens, things get tidied, put away, hung up and folded.
Allowing you to return felling refreshed, less overwhelmed and more able to breathe. You might feel more confident with feeding your baby, understanding what is normal, and what might need a bit of extra support.
That’s my aim, because yes baby snuggles are lovely, but really, I’m here to hold you, metaphorically and physically, through this wild ride of life with a newborn.
Sound dreamy? It can be, let’s chat about making your postnatal reality just a little bit easier.
I’m here, ready to support you, when you’re ready to receive it.
Every family’s needs are unique and my Postnatal Doula Support is tailored to provide the nurturing care that works best for you. Whether you need emotional reassurance, practical assistance or support with newborn care, I’m here to help.
